Pool Lights

Until recently, there were very few options when it came to repairing or replacing your pool lights. You had to stick with the same brand of light that was installed by the pool builder, or you had to drain the pool to be able to attach a different bracket to the wall.

The latest developments in pool lighting

There is now a great range of lights available that can be retro fitted to your existing bracket without the need for drilling new holes. Along with this has been significant upgrades to light design.

These days pool lights are far more waterproof. Installing lights under water has always been a tricky environment, but the latest generation of lights have tripled the number of barriers between the water and the inside of the light, improving reliability dramatically. The new design also means you do not have to dismantle the light when installing it on an existing cable, thus maintaining the factory seal.

The other great improvement in pool lights has been the introduction of LED's. You can now get lights that are brighter, change colour and use far less electricity than traditional halogen pool lights. An added advantage is they produce less heat, which is a contributing factor of leaking lights.

TIP: Use pool lights regularly!

By turning on your lights at least once a week you will avoid condensation build up that can lead to corrosion and globe failure
