Coming swimming with Brett : Checking Chemical levels

26 April 2019

As they say, an ounce of prevention is better than a tonne of cure. This is particularly relevant when it comes to your swimming pool, wherein small problems can quickly develop into large and expensive catastrophes. In Winter when you're not using your pool, it can be a little bit "out of mind, out of sight". That means that there's a greater chance you don't notice the small problems because you're not doing your regular pool maintenance like you did in Summer.

At Active Pool Supplies our ethos is to treat your pool as if it were our own. In the accompanying video, our General Manager, Brett, is chatting with our marketing guy, John, about the importance of continuing to maintain your swimming pool throughout the colder months. Brett explains the reasons for having your pool water checked regularly, advises on the frequency of checks and provides some detail of the things that can go wrong.

At Active Pool Supplies, all our staff regularly bring in their pool water for analysis, and we reckon if it's good enough for all of us, it should be good enough for our customers.

Should you have any concerns about the frequency of your pool maintenance, the state of your pool during winter or other pool care questions, you should visit one of our stores at Runaway Bay or Bundall, or call on 07 5537 3341
