Test your pool water after the rain (before it goes green)

18 February 2020

The recent rain was most welcome and there was certainly a lot. The Gold Coast Seaway measured 566 mm of rain in an 11 day period.

The effect of the rain on your pool is that the pool water will be diluted to a large extent.  Your chlorine level is likely to be low, and the level of salt in the pool will be too low to bring the chlorine level back up.  Now that it's getting hot again (so hot!), it wont be long before algae starts growing and the pool turns green.

Since Saturday we've provided 16+ tonnes of salt to our shop customers and we are finding that on average most pools are needing 4 or 5 bags of salt to bring the level back up!

DON'T DELAY - BRING A SAMPLE OF YOUR POOL WATER INTO ACTIVE POOL SUPPLIES BUNDALL OR RUNAWAY BAY NOW!

For our VIP Regular Customers:  If we are not due to service your pool for 2 or more weeks, and the water starts to look cloudy, or a tinge of green starts to appear on the walls, give us a call and we'll do our best to help you.
