Pool Tech Pete Gets To Know The Neighbours At Runaway Islands And Gets A Bag Of Lemons

26 August 2020

 by Angus Donald

Here's today's case study which involves a "neighbourly" neighbourhood on Runaway Islands.

Cheryl at No. 121 was keeping an eye on Chris's house at No. 96 because Chris was stuck in Sydney due to COVID-19.  Cheryl had noticed the water in Chris's pool was low and when she checked, she found the floor of the filtration room very wet.  Pool Tech Pete happened to be doing a green pool cleanup across the road at Joe's house at No 160.  Joe had mentioned this to Cheryl, so Cheryl kept an eye out and called to Pete when he was at Joe's, to come across and check Chris's pool.  Pete found a leaking filter due to high pressure as a result of very dirty filter media (see video).

Pete called the APS Office, Mark in the APS office called Chris in Sydney, and long story short, Pete replaced Chris's filter a couple of day's later thanks to Cheryl (and Joe, indirectly).

As Pete finished the job, Cheryl thanked him with a bag of lemons fresh from the tree in her back yard.
The moral of the story?  Look after your neighbours and you'll get lemons.
